VMware Migration Hub is the VMware-migration practice of Bridgepointe Technologies, a vendor-neutral technology advisory built to give IT leaders honest answers about the Broadcom price problem, without the vendor runaround.
When Broadcom acquired VMware, renewal quotes went up 3–5× almost overnight, and every vendor in the market suddenly had a pitch for what you should do about it. The Nutanix rep says migrate to Nutanix. The Azure rep says move to AVS. The hosting provider says move to their cloud. Everyone is convinced their platform is the answer, because it's the only one they sell.
We built VMware Migration Hub to be the one party in that conversation that doesn't care which option you pick. We're a vendor-neutral advisory, not a lead aggregator. When you submit an assessment, your information goes to one place: a Bridgepointe advisor. No call rooms. No five-vendors-in-an-hour treatment. Just an honest comparison of every realistic path, including keeping VMware through a lower-cost provider, and including "extend your contract and wait" when that's the right call.
How the model works. Bridgepointe is a technology solutions distributor (TSD), the advisory model that's been standard in enterprise telecom and cloud purchasing for decades. We hold contracts with 200+ suppliers: managed VMware clouds, hyperscalers, HCI vendors, bare metal, colocation, and migration specialists. When you select a provider through us, that provider pays Bridgepointe a commission out of their own margin, at rates that are consistent across suppliers, so there's no financial reason for us to push one over another. You pay nothing, and your pricing is the same or better than going direct, because we negotiate from existing volume relationships.
Why we work this way. Our compensation continues only as long as you stay with the provider you chose. If we steer you somewhere that doesn't fit, you leave at renewal and the relationship is over. That alignment is the entire point, and it's why we'll happily tell you when the option you were leaning toward is the wrong one for your environment.
VMware Migration Hub is operated by Bridgepointe Technologies, founded in 2002 and headquartered in San Mateo, California. Bridgepointe is one of the largest technology advisory firms (TSDs) in the United States, with advisors across the country helping mid-market and enterprise organizations buy infrastructure, cloud, security, and communications the smart way.
That market depth matters in a very practical way for VMware decisions. When Bridgepointe requests proposals for your workload, we're not a stranger walking in cold, we have existing relationships with every serious VMware cloud provider and alternative platform in the market. That translates directly into pricing, terms, and responsiveness that one-off buyers rarely see.
It also means our advisors have seen virtually every version of this problem: 3–5× renewal quotes with 60 days on the clock, aging hosts due for refresh anyway, HIPAA and PCI environments that can't tolerate migration risk, and teams that just want someone to pressure-test Broadcom's number. If your situation feels unusual, we've probably handled something similar in the last six months.
We're the strongest fit for mid-market organizations running 25 to 2,000 VMs, large enough that the Broadcom increase hurts, small enough that Broadcom isn't negotiating hard to keep you. We're especially helpful if you're:
One advisor sees your assessment. Providers see it only with your consent.
Consistent supplier rates mean we recommend the right fit, not the highest payer.
Providers cover the advisory fee out of their margin. Always.
Including open-source alternatives and "stay on VMware", even when there's nothing in it for us.
A three-minute assessment is the fastest path. A phone call works just as well.
