About VMware Migration Hub

The advisor on your side of the table.

VMware Migration Hub is operated by Foretel Solutions, Inc., an authorized Bridgepointe Technologies partner. Our advisors help IT leaders understand their VMware options, weigh the tradeoffs, and choose a path that fits their infrastructure, team, and budget.

When Broadcom acquired VMware, renewal quotes went up sharply, 2–5× across the 60+ our advisors reviewed between 2024 and 2026, and every vendor in the market suddenly had a pitch for what you should do about it. The Nutanix rep says migrate to Nutanix. The Azure rep says move to AVS. The hosting provider says move to their cloud. Everyone is convinced their platform is the answer, because it's the only one they sell.

You should not have to sort through every vendor's pitch alone. Our advisory starts with your constraints: renewal timing, applications, team capacity, and budget. We help you compare realistic paths, including renewing or upgrading VMware, using a managed VMware provider, and changing platforms. Provider introductions happen with your consent.

How the model works. Foretel provides this advisory through its authorized partnership with Bridgepointe Technologies, a technology solutions distributor (TSD). That relationship gives us access to Bridgepointe's supplier network across cloud, data center, network, and security services. Our advisory guidance is free to you. When you buy a service through us, the selected provider may pay compensation through Bridgepointe. Provider services, licensing, and migration work are priced separately in their proposals.

How we keep the decision useful. We explain why a path fits, which assumptions affect the comparison, and what remains to be validated. Supplier relationships do not make every offering a fit. Your shortlist can include a direct renewal or an alternative that does not involve buying through us. Read how we evaluate the options.

Illustrative review outline

What you'll understand after we talk

This example shows the questions we work through. It is not a customer case study, a quote, or a completed assessment.

Example starting point: your renewal is approaching, some hosts are due for refresh, and your team needs to keep critical applications available.

  1. A clearer shortlist. Which paths deserve a closer look: renew or upgrade VMware, keep VMware through a managed provider, or evaluate another platform. We discuss what could rule each one in or out for your environment.
  2. The key tradeoffs. What to include when comparing licensing and infrastructure costs, your team's migration effort, application compatibility, and operational risk. Keeping VMware can reduce platform change, but a provider move still needs relocation planning, testing, and a cutover plan.
  3. Practical next steps. Which facts to verify before committing, such as the current quote and entitlement, capacity and growth needs, application dependencies, recovery requirements, and available maintenance windows.

Rough details are enough to start. An initial conversation clarifies the decision and the missing information. Firm pricing, compatibility approval, and a migration design require further validation.

Our Bridgepointe partnership

Foretel Solutions, Inc. operates VMware Migration Hub. Bridgepointe Technologies is our advisory and supplier-network partner. Founded in 2002 and headquartered in San Mateo, California, Bridgepointe works with organizations evaluating infrastructure, cloud, security, and communications services. Its company history and network describe the partner organization, not the age or project history of this website.

  • Founded 2002, more than two decades of contracts, renewals, and supplier relationships
  • 380+ supplier relationships across cloud, data center, network, and security
  • Advisors nationwide, you work with a person, not a portal
  • One of the largest TSDs in the US, volume relationships individual buyers can't match

That network helps us identify providers to evaluate and coordinate comparable proposals. A proposal still needs to match your capacity, licensing, support, resilience, and contract requirements. Access to a supplier does not guarantee lower pricing or make it the right choice for your environment.

Relevant experience, with clear boundaries. In Bridgepointe's published Hive case study, the client reported at least 180 hours saved across 15 data center expansion projects through provider research and selection support. That is a Bridgepointe example outside VMware, not a VMware Migration Hub customer result or a forecast of what your project will save.

Our observed renewal range is context from quotes reviewed by the advisory, not a prediction for your environment. Your actual quote, hardware lifecycle, compliance needs, and cutover constraints belong in the comparison before anyone recommends a move.

Who we work with

We work with IT infrastructure leaders at organizations with roughly 100 to 5,000 employees. The guidance is especially useful when your team owns a meaningful VMware estate and needs a practical way to compare renewal, hosting, and platform choices. You may be:

  • Staring at a renewal quote that's 2–5× your last one.
  • Weighing a hardware refresh against a platform change.
  • Bound by HIPAA, PCI, CMMC, or state compliance requirements.
  • Wondering whether keeping VMware through a provider is a better fit than changing platforms.
  • Tired of being sold to instead of advised.
